With the insertion of an insole I think they will be fine, but it does mean I'll have to wear thick socks every time, so in a way I might just as well have worn my walking boots instead. They are the correct fit length-wise (some reviewers found their shoes unexpectedly long and needed a half size smaller, but that doesn't apply to me). I would recommend them, but not for people with narrow feet. I haven't yet tested how waterproof they are.
I know with experience Merrell come up small so I go up half size and can wear thick walking socks with them. Only just had them for the past week or so but I have worn them in and they feel really good. Very stable, water proof so far, the grip is the main thing it is amazing. I wasn't expecting much when I bought these shoes but I've been very pleasantly surprised. They were so comfortable on the first run, and such was the springiness that I went twice as far as I normally do. I've had them about a month now and I'm doing greater distances than before I got them. Very very happy with my purchase.
Nice fitting comfortable trainer at a very reasonable price. I use these onmy treadmill and they perform very well. They are equally well suited justas a stylish casual walking shoe.
Brilliant good value for money, so far these trainers have stood isabel marant boots gth length wise (from heel to toe) so would recommend going for half a size smaller. I would also suggest applying a SMALL AMOUNT of a non-slip product on the split soles (damp cloth, or water), just for more safety if your floor is slippery.

These were size 9 but a very snug fit which was fine for me but if you have a larger foot it may be worth going up a size.Usually I like to wear in shoes to make sure they do not rub on longer walks however rashly I did not do it with these and over Christmas went for a 5 mile walk, not that long but plenty to test new shoes. I was very pleased that they were comfortable and they heels in particular did not rub. Also whether they were waterproof was tested (by accident) and they held up well. They have good substantial treads which give a good grip on muddy surfaces and as a bonus with quite wide grips they are easy to clean.A nice comfortable and well-made walking shoe.
A very nice secure padding inside, with great grip and curves for long walks on various terrains. I especially like that they feel very light but at the same time your feet feel very secure and that you can confidently set off on a long walk with them. Other than usual hiking, these shoes would be great for walk-commute to work for 3-4 mile distance. I will be trying itt huge blisters or rubs away on top of my toes. My daughter has unfortunately inherited my feet and it was thanks to her insistence in wanting to try these on in an adult shop (she's 8) that I finally found a pair that fit and look good, because after years of palaver, if my girl says a shoe is comfortable, I know it's a winner. I'm normally a regular size 7, with a very high instep and very wide feet - Birkenstocks are the only thing I can wear in the summer, you can forget about anything pointy, dainty or trendy - and so after reading the reviews here I ordered a navy pair in a size 6. And tah-daaa! It's like they had been made bespoke, they are super comfy everywhere (ie all around the foot) and look really great on. The sole is nice and thick but not clunky and the ribbed detail on the sole makes them a bit unusual. On their first outing I wore them f scarpe supra 9 and the fit is fine - not too big, but think I did the right thing!
They look great.I have narrow feet and particularly like this make of shoe. The 'last' seems to suit my slender, fairly high arches, well.They are very comfortable.
I have been wearing Rieker shoes for years and these are, as always, what I have come to expect from this maker. Unbelievably comfortable from the first time on. Great for long dog walks but trendy enough to be fashionable also. Just the greatest shoes ever.

I ordered these in a size 2, and was a little worried about the size as my daughter has other size 2 Skechers that are getting a bit small, but she's not in a size 3 yet and other reviews said the size came up big.The other revieing buy these. my daughter has got a pair of white and now black, they have got wet,muddy and generally been kicked to within an inch of their life but they never fall apart. a quick wash and they are like new. a tip if you are buying white, i invested in some good quality white dye for my daughters, after a few washes they go a bit dull, however after applying the whitener they are back to brand new again. dont bother buying cheaper canvas trainers, invest the extra in these.

Geox shoes for 20 quid - fabulous! I bought these as school schools for my daughter. They are a bit more substantial than most ballet type shoes so an excellent mother/daughter compromise. Lovely quality, very comfortable and everyone happy. Thank you!

Purchased these in October 2011, initial view of these was good, nice fit, comfortable. Unfortunately after less than 3 months of wear (only a couple of times a week) the 'leather' across the top of the foot is splitting open. Now very disappointed and even more so with the response of Amazon call centre who refused to refund me.
I love these and they were really cheap. I tried to get another pair but the price went up so I left it for another time. They are comfortable and excellent design
