They are pretty shoes but I don't think they would withstand the usual knocks and scuffs that school shoes are expected to.The sole of the shoe is also quite thin. The fitting is also quite small for a size 7.

I ordered on the Wednesday and was really hoping I would get them for my daughters party on the Monday. They arrived on the Friday, I was so pleased b Columbia ing so think there might some quality control issues. I'm happy to say though that the fault resolved and after being worn for a while they both light well. One other thing to consider though is that the lights shine very brightly and as they are on the top of the shoe they can sometimes be a bit dazzling, especially when it's dark. My fiancé finds it very distracting when he's driving as it looks like emergency service lights flashing when my daughter taps her feet together. All in all though they are beautiful shoes at a great price.

This is my second pair of these K-Swiss tennis shoes. The first pair was super comfortable, supportive and lasted the distance considering how much tennis I play. As the sole wore out I decided to be a repeat buyer, everything exactly the same. I have had to play through having blisters on my heal which certainly didn't occur the first time round. I bought these to play squash with as I felt that my general trainers did not support me well enough on the squash court.When the trainers arrived and I assessed their quality I was more than happy given the quality vs price tag and although they looked a bit plain and not very fashionably I was pleased with my purchase.I'm a size 10 and found that the size 10 was a good fit although they did seem a bit tight at first. They are solid, flexibly and have an excellent grip that's well suited to the squash court.When I used them for playing squash I found that they were a lot stiffer than normal trainers and it took 3-4 games to fully get used to them. I am a standard size 8 but my experiance with Merrell is that they come up small so I ordered a size 9 and it fits perfectly. If you have not worn barefoot shoes before take things easy and slowly increase wear time as your mussels need to get used to walking or running barefoot, in my case only walking. This is a very comfortable shoe with the right amount of padding for walking all day, some barefoot runners might not like the amount cushioning in the footbed. I have a wide foot and they are wide enough to allow natural foot spread no cramping or pinching.

best routers ld be better with a wider strap across the toe to offer more support. I found the material to be very hard on open flesh and they rubbed quite a bit and caused sore toes; the solution maybe to wear cushion pads on my feet or socks. Only tested on short walks so far.
I chose the rating because I like these sandles the only thing is if l wear them for couple of hours they start to rub on my small toe.,if they were padded a little they would be ideal, as I ey fitted perfectly at this setting but after a few days, the leather had stretched and I had to adjust both buckles to the remaining tightest hole at the back and front which does take away from the look of the sandal. Now, after only two weeks, the leather has stretched again and I can't keep them on my feet. There is no further adjustment to the straps so that's it.....useless! Waste of money!!
Very lovely shoe concept, I like the simplicity, and being a fan of the 'buckle' I ignored a previous review, but then found same problem - the buckle over the toes is so large that it rubs your toes when you walk :( Had to return, sadly. Although I had asked for size 3, (I'm not sure if its cause of different sizing or something though) I received 4 and i couldn't be happier, My shoes fit perfectly! The sole is unbeleivably comfy, so comfy i'm sitting in my lounge with them on as i type. The material is fine with rain, and I'm pretty sure i can put them in the wash so they'll be as good as new when they get scruffy or muddy! Also arrived on time too. I definitley recommend the white pair.
